Contest Rules

1. Scope and supplements

These Contest Rules apply to Hole In 1 Nation contests offered at participating courses unless a course- or contest-specific supplement published at entry states otherwise. If a supplement conflicts with these Rules, the supplement controls for that contest.

Contests are intended as skill contests featuring golf performance on a designated hole. Void where prohibited. This draft is provisional pending counsel and insurance review.

2. How to enter

Scan the official QR code at the contest tee (or open the play link provided by the course), select an entry bundle, complete payment, and retain your receipt number before addressing the ball.

Entries purchased after the shot, without a valid receipt, or outside the published contest window are void. Maximum entries per golfer, if any, appear at checkout.

3. Eligibility and play

Entrants must meet age and residency requirements in the Terms and any contest supplement. Play must follow the local rules of golf for the hole unless the supplement states a modified format.

Only shots from the designated tee and toward the designated pin count. Mulligans, practice balls, or shots taken after a group has cleared without a valid open entry do not qualify.

4. Pricing and currency

Entry fees and prize amounts are denominated in the currency of the course country: United States courses in USD; Canadian courses (including Ontario) in CAD. No automatic foreign-exchange conversion is offered at checkout.

5. Verification

Official results require review of course camera footage against entry timestamps and these Rules. Hole-in-one claims and closest-to-pin measurements may be delayed while footage uploads or reviewers assess clarity.

We may reject or reverse outcomes when footage is missing, obscured, inconclusive, time-mismatched, or shows a rules breach. Device outages will be communicated when known; open entries remain on file subject to contest pause rules.

6. Closest-to-pin ranking

Unless a supplement states otherwise, closest-to-pin standings rank verified distances from ball to pin. Ties may be broken by earlier verified entry timestamp, then by further supplement rules. Unverified rows may appear as pending and do not guarantee prize placement.

7. Prizes and claims

Prize amounts are shown at entry. Hole-in-one and other major prizes may require identity verification, tax forms, and banking details before payout. Failure to complete claim requirements within the stated window may result in forfeiture.

Prizes are awarded to the eligible entrant associated with the winning entry. Transferability is prohibited unless required by law.

8. Weather, closures, and pauses

Courses may pause or close contest holes for weather, maintenance, or safety. Contests may show paused, delayed, or closed status in the Services. Refund or credit treatment for interrupted play follows the supplement and payment-partner rules disclosed at entry.

9. Disputes and appeals

Review decisions include reason codes in the Services where available. To appeal, email support@holein1nation.com within seven (7) days of notification with your receipt number, course, hole, and a concise statement of the issue.

Appeals are reviewed by operations staff not solely involved in the original rejection where staffing allows. Decisions after appeal are final except where prohibited by law.

10. Publicity

Except where prohibited, winners may be asked for limited publicity consent for name, likeness, course, and winning clip. Declining optional publicity does not void a prize already earned unless a specific contest requires consent as a condition disclosed at entry.

11. Sponsor

Contests are sponsored by Hole In 1 Nation together with the listed participating course for each contest. Partner logos on tee signage do not independently create prize obligations beyond the published contest.
